Our vision

The Language Kindergarden received the title of preschool of the year in 2006 and 2007. During the long time of operation of our preschools, we managed to prepare tens of children for the necessary prerequisites of preschool. Our focus is to immerse children in a foreign language in the classroom. Our project is aimed at filling in the missing piece of preschool foreign language education, since children at this age are most capable at absorbing a foreign language other than their mother tongue. The child then absorbs another language like a natural opportunity at communication. The result of this process is that the child absorbs the foreign language in a way that allows it to become a second mother language.

The language school KinderGarden is a great choice due to a number of reasons: We accept children from 18 months to 7 years (the best opportunity to learn the language as a second mother tongue is around two years old) The teachers are native English speakers and only speak English with the children The system is organized in the framework of experienced programs for preschool education, with the simplest evaluation of our goals and in accordance with European concepts, the White book and other international curriculums.

Environment

The school is found in a residential area and in a quiet quarter. It is important to us that the surroundings be stimulating and feed children’s imagination and creativity, so that the children’s eyes shine bright and that they enjoy returning each day to experience something they cannot do at home. The building also has a big garden which is equipped with swings, slides, a sandpit and a child house. In the back part of the garden we have a small garden where the children and teachers will plant their own fruit and vegetables.

Teachers

Our goal is to create a complex foreign language environment, therefore most of our teachers are native speakers. In each classroom are 10 to 12 children, where they are divided according to age, and there are two teachers per room. In choosing our teachers, we put great emphasis on experience with preschool aged children. Before a teacher becomes a part of the staff, he or she is observed while working and their methods and successes are constantly monitored thorughout their employment. The teachers come from various types of education, have perfect understanding about the workings with children (changing nappies, potty training, drinking from a cup, weaning off of a pacifier). For the Parents

Our communication is done on an individual basis. Together with the parents we devise a long-term or a short-term plan and goals. We regularly communicate with the parents about the development of their children. Parents have the opportunity of an individual consultation with the head teacher of the preschool and the other teachers. The parents can also monitor their children at the school with the use of th iCare system of cameras.
