English Preschool Budějovická, Prague

Our branch Kindergarten Budějovická belongs to the private English Kindergarten in Prague. We are a pre-school specializing in teaching English to children between the ages of 18 months to six years. Children are divided into groups based on not only age, but also language skills and social maturity.

Daily activities, their duration and substance are tailored to the needs of children in this age group. Our daily morning circle routine focuses on the children acquiring a basic knowledge of English. We focus primarily on the following themes: colors, numbers, days of the week, months, seasons, alphabet and a description of the environment around us. With age, children grow as do the depth of topics introduced in English. A natural part of our daily morning circle is, singing English songs and rhymes, and movement activities.

The second block of guided activities is stylized into selected topics covering international holidays, seasons and so forth. Individual areas of teaching are planned for the season, the children's interests and demands of today.

During the morning our children also have the opportunity to play in our garden, which is adjusted for such purposes. Weather permitting, we will occasionally conduct morning circle as well as our daily lesson in the garden.

In the afternoon, the children participate in afternoon clubs run by experienced teachers of our KinderGarten. Among such activities include drama, music and sports club, visiting a salt cave, pony rides and children's yoga.

When the new school year begins we will also be introducing the Czech Club, whose contents and aim is to prepare the child for an advantageous start in primary school.
